There's no bad blood between Michael B. Jordan and ex-girlfriend Lori Harvey's dad, Steve Harvey.
That's what their smiles said, anyway, as they were pictured hugging on the court at the Dallas Mavericks versus Minnesota Timberwolves pre-season game at the NBA's Abu Dhabi Games Thursday.
The NBA and NBA Europe Instagram accounts shared the sweet moment on social media, captioning a photo and video of the moment with "All smiles at #NBAinAbuDhabi!"
In the photo, Jordan is leaning into Steve Harvey, who's looking away from the camera, as the two each have one arm around each other's back. The corresponding video shows Jordan diving in for a hug, which lasts several seconds.
Though Harvey and Jordan exchange a few words with each other, the video has no sound.
Left to guess what's being said, some commenters joked that Harvey was confronting Jordan about the end of his relationship with model Lori Harvey, which lasted more than a year before they broke up in 2022. The two debuted their romance on Instagram in January 2021 after being spotted out together in late 2020.
Last summer, Steve Harvey confirmed the couple's split on "The Steve Harvey Morning Show."
"I wish them well. I'm Team Lori 1000%. She's my daughter; I love her, I support her," Harvey said last June about his daughter, who's currently dating actor Damson Idris. "Things happen. It's hard to be young and in the limelight and have a successful relationship."
He also praised Jordan, saying, "He's still a cool guy from what I know. It's a breakup … people break up all the time."
Several months after the breakup, Jordan joked about his split from Lori Harvey while making his debut as host of "Saturday Night Live," calling it his "very first public breakup" without naming the ex to whom he was referring.
"Most people after a breakup are like, 'I'm gonna get in better shape,' but I was already in 'Creed' shape," Jordan said. "So I had to be like, 'All right, I guess I'll learn a new language.' Anyway, estoy en Raya."
