Nothing says Christmas Day like eggnog, stocking stuffers and NBA basketball.
The league on Thursday announced the matchups for its traditional Christmas Day slate, with all five games to be televised on ESPN.
In arguably the marquee matchup, the Boston Celtics will play the Los Angeles Lakers in Los Angeles at 5 p.m. ET. LeBron James, the Lakers superstar, will be playing for his 18th Christmas Day, a league record.
But the day will start with the Milwaukee Bucks playing the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden at noon ET.
That’ll be followed by the Golden State Warriors playing the defending champion Denver Nuggets in Denver at 2:30 p.m. ET, prior to the Celtics-Lakers matchup.
Then the Miami Heat will host the Philadelphia 76ers in Miami, with tipoff set for 8 p.m. ET. The Christmas Day basketball frenzy will culminate with the Dallas Mavericks playing the Phoenix Suns in Phoenix at 10:30 p.m. ET.
